Crex Wildflowers

June 19th, 2009

Besides the wildlife we saw plenty of wildflowers from a Northern Blue Iris to Hardbell.
Northern Blue Iris. Hoary Puccoon. Tall Anemone similar to the Wood Anemone. This one looks to be a White Campion.
Prairie Phlox
Here is a Harebell. Mike and I had taken a shot each.
We also spotted more Wild Columbine and even found one blooming. We also notice a couple of Eastern Tiger Swallowtails, but what was new for us was a Little Wood-Satyr.

Hope you enjoy our photos.

These are beautiful! I am very unlucky at catching butterfly pix.

It has taken time and a lot of patience, patience being the key.

Hey everyone, would like to note that we may err on the flowers and such since we have noticed quite a variety that look similar. So if you spot one that we made a mistake on let us know.
