So for our 4th of July we stayed local and went birding at Springbrook. We got all our camera stuff together and head out. We noticed that they were making a trail / boardwalk along 85th avenue as well some sort of construction west of the parking lot. It will be nice to see how that develops. We walked towards the main pond on the park property and we saw a mature male Common Whitetail Dragonfly and it stayed close as we took as many photos as we could.

Plus it helped us get the right settings for the photos we were going to take. Just when were ready to move on we spotted a Gray Catbird and caught a few photos, we also spotted some Gold Finches flying amongst the reeds.
We took a few more photos and we continued our walk and came upon a White Morning Glory.
It was beautiful among the greenery as it is lonely. We started walking towards the pond and came upon a few more wildflowers such as the White Campion , Bouncing Bet? and Canada Thistle.

More to come...
