Exodus 20:5
" You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me,
Exodus 34:14--for you shall not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God—
We see God who is our Creator wants our attention and ours alone. How can we not want to give Him all of our attention when we are created in His image? If the birds know to give praise, we should all the more be lifting up His name. For God is a jealous God, that is why if we look at the first commandment we see it is,
Exodus 20:3
" You shall have no other gods before Me.
